Book One of "The LIGHTNING CHRONICLES"
Published by American Book Publishers
Synopsis
The ancient prophecies are being fullfilled, and now the unthinkable is
about to happen. Israel and America are being targeted by several
terrorists with tactical nuclear weapons, and they are bent on nothing
less than the total destruction of their enemies.
Strap in with Israeli F-16 LIGHTNING fighter pilot, Moshe Eldan, as
he heroically defends his isolated nation against a plot hatched by Iran
and Syria. An Iranian SAEGAH THUNDER missile is aimed at the port
city of Haifa and Lightning fighters are called to do the impossible. But
there is more to Moshe's struggle than duty. His journey leads him
toward faith in the Truth as his secular beliefs are challenged by Bible
prophecies that are seemingly coming true 10,000 feet beneath him.
Meanwhile, Pastor Ty Dempsey has been warning his suburban
Kansas City church that ominous prophecies are destined to come true,
and do so in the very near future. Many are listening: others are
stirring trouble. The loss of his younger brother to the war in Iraq,
along with a deepening church squable, will test Ty's character and
calling. His only reprieve is found in a budding relationship with
talented and beautiful singer, Blake Sieler. Both will face a deadly
firestorm beyond that of a church conflict.
Join Moshe and Ty in a roller-coaster adventure that will lead them
to the edge of the greatest disaster in history, up until now.
BETWEEN the LINES
with TY DEMPSEY & MOSHE ELDAN
This book, and the entire trilogy, is more than simply a work of
adventure fiction. It is a saga built upon actual future events portrayed
in the most reliable of all ancient documents, the Bible.
Fictitious character, Tyler Dempsey, is the portrayal of what can grip
a person's heart when he or she begins to truly study the scriptures,
not just for good moral and spiritual undergirding, but for the truth
about how God has dealt with man in the past, and how he will manage
the future of his prized creation, mankind. Ty moves from believing in a
God who is somewhat abstract and uninvolved, to an active Lord who is
not only deeply concerned about the lives of every person, but who has
established a future of both grace and judgment; all in order to reveal
himself and his purposes.
Ty is led first to a series of prophecies that are spelled out between
chapters 15 and 25 of the Book of Isaiah. He is startled to discover that
few remain to be fulfilled. Most stunning is the prophecy describing the
coming destruction of Damascus, something that has never happened
historically. Seeing a march by Israel toward the cataclysmic conflict
portrayed in Ezekiel 38 & 39, Ty begins to see that the prologue to that
event must be an attack by Israel upon the Syrians; a once-and-for-all
attack that ends a long history of persecution suffered by the Jews.
This is a wake-up call to the modern Church, a call to prepare itself
for difficult times ahead that are filled with both peril and opportunity.
We are never promised comfort, but we are promised an amazing time
of harvest. That harvest is nearly upon us, and the world.
Adventure character, Moshe Eldan, is a metaphor of modern Israel.
He is so secularized in his thinking, due to a traumatic national past and
an uncertain future, that he has failed to see the dealings of Jehovah-
God in re-birthing Israel according to the many prophecies found in the
Torah and Prophets. His is a journey of awakening, a process in which
the truth of scripture is revealed to him for the first time, and he is
hooked. If it were simply an act of blind faith Moshe could not proceed.
However, beneath the wings of his advanced fighter jet, an F-16C
"Lightning," Moshe literally witnesses the unfolding of the prophecies.
Though still far from accepting the whole truth of Jehovah and his
Son Y'shua (Jesus), his heart's door is beginning to open. Just like to
Israel, Jehovah-God will soon be proving the veracity of his Word to this
heroic defender of the Jewish people. The fig tree is ripening quickly!
