Jimmy is the lead pastor of Family Worship Center of Smithville Missouri, a growing suburb of Kansas City. Married to Jean, the Roots are products of the mid-west, being raised in Kansas and Nebraska.
Jimmy has served in pastoral ministry since 1980, and along with his wife and family, has planted churches in Nebraska and Colombia, South America. He has been an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God since 1982.
A life long student of Bible Prophecy, and an alumnus of Central Bible College of Springfield, Missouri, Jimmy is well qualified in both cultural interpretation and sizing up current events and comparing them with ancient scripture.
Future projects include the release of Distant Thunder, the completion of The Lightning Chronicles trilogy, and the writing of a historical fiction series based on the life of the Old Testament prophet, Daniel. Jimmy enjoys fishing, hunting, and is an enthusiast of Nebraska Cornhusker Football. |
